An important, early and extremely rare 1954 Rolex Submariner reference 6205. This excellent watch is a one-family owners piece.
The Rolex 6205 was produced in very limited numbers for a period of approximately just 1 year. Within that extremely limited run, this example is so early that it actually predates the inception of the name 'submariner' itself. Hence this extremely rare example features the most desireable specification original no 'submariner' gilt dial with original radium lume plots, it's rare original pencil hour and minutes hands, small lollipop seconds and original no hash bezel. This extremely rare configuration is only seen on the very earliest examples and represents the rarest examples in this already very limited reference. A handful of pieces exist in this specification or condition. It is a true piece of Rolex history, the very early foundations of the lineage of the iconic submariner we all love.
